Our Community

Community Library

Friendship Square ELC fosters a love for reading and community engagement from a young age. Our community library stands as a testament to our commitment to early literacy and community relationships. Families, children, and wider community members can borrow or share books, promoting a culture of reading in our community.

Intergenerational Relationships

Our centre engages the children in excursions to the local retirement village, entering a world of meaningful intergenerational connections. These interactions provide an invaluable opportunity for our youngest community members to bridge generational gaps, learn from the wisdom of seniors, and develop empathy and compassion.

Community Pantry

At Friendship Square, we are outward-focused and see our work as integral to families, community members and educator well-being. As such, we recognise that from time to time, support is needed for all families, community members and educators in challenging times. Our community pantry is a service to support families, community members and educators to access food and necessary products without feeling judgement or shame. We invite you to take what you need, when you need it, and give what you can, when you can.
