Nutrition and Menu
At Friendship Square ELC, we take great pride in ensuring our children receive nutritious meals that promote their health and well-being. Our qualified chef, Greta, creates a seasonal rotational menu that introduces children to a wide variety of textures, flavours and cuisines. Our daily menus include breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and a late snack.
Safety is a priority, as we carefully plan for allergies and dietary requirements, offering suitable substitutes when required. The children are heavily involved in their nutrition, from maintaining and growing fruit, vegetables and herbs in our garden, to planning, preparing and cooking in their classrooms. These hands-on experiences fosters children’s knowledge of where food comes from to how it ends up on our plates.
